When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training Tae Kwon Do at age 6, then when I was 11 years old I started Muay Thai and Boxing, and at age 14, I went on to Olympic boxing. When I was 16 I was called to be on the Brazilian Olympic Boxing team. I have always liked fighting, so my dream is to be a champion and be known for my fighting.

What ranks and titles have you held? Boxing: Brazilian Champion; Champion of the state of Sao Paulo; Kid Jofre Champion; State Champion from 2000 to 2007.
Muay Thai: Rio de Janeiro Champion; Champion of Castelo das Pedras; Warrior Champion; Luiz Alvex Cup Champion.
MMA: Shooto Brazil 4; Shooto Brazil 5; Conquista Fight 1; Iron Man 2; Minotauro Fight 1; JF Fight 2; Top Fight 2; Pantanal Combate 2 and 3.

Do you have any heroes? My mother, Rodrigo Nogueira, Anderson Silva and Randy Couture.

What is your favorite technique? Free style.

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? It means everything to me, it's one of the best events in the world. I hope to grow in the event and one day be part of the UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was an office assistant.
